Privacy Notice

WorthWait Camera ("WorthWait," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Notice explains what information the WorthWait Camera app (the "App") collects, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Your photos. Photos you take with the App are stored only in local storage on your own device — on the free version and on WorthWait Plena alike. We do not operate any cloud backup or server where copies of your photos are stored. We never see your photos because we never receive them.
Purchase information. When you buy WorthWait Plena, your purchase is processed directly by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Android waitlist. If you sign up for the Android waitlist on our website, we collect the first name, last name and email address you give us. We use them for one thing only: to tell you when the Android app is available. We do not add you to a newsletter, and we do not share the list with anyone. The form and the list are hosted by Google (Google Forms and Google Sheets), which acts as our service provider. Write to hello@worthwaitcamera.com and we will delete your details; we delete the whole list once the Android app has launched and that message has been sent.
Analytics. We use TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Von-der-Tann-Str. 54, 86159 Augsburg, Germany), a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand in aggregate how the App is used. There are no accounts, so none of this is tied to your name or your email address. This is what it receives, and nothing else:
- A pseudonymous device identifier. It is not your name or your email address, but it does distinguish the same device from one session to the next — which is why we call it pseudonymous rather than anonymous.
- Device information: brand, model, operating system and version, screen resolution and pixel density.
- App information: version, build number, and whether the App was installed from the app store or through another channel.
- Settings you have chosen on your device: region, language, time zone, and display and accessibility preferences — text size, contrast, reduced motion.
- How much you use the App: number of sessions, distinct days of use, average session length.
- And what you do inside it: which film you select, whether you complete a roll, and which screen you arrived from. Always as numbers and as values from a predefined list — never the content of your photos, and never the names of your rolls.
Your IP address is never stored. And your country, where it appears, is not inferred from your connection: it comes from the region setting you have chosen on your device. It is not your location — it is a setting you control.
TelemetryDeck sends accessibility preferences with every signal on its own, and its current SDK offers no way to turn them off. We do not use them for anything. We disclose them here because we would rather tell you what arrives than only what we asked for.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the App's core functionality.
- To process your purchase of WorthWait Plena.
- To improve the App over time.
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only with the providers we rely on to operate the App:
- Apple and Google — act as the merchant of record for in-app purchases of WorthWait Plena and process that transaction under their own privacy policies.
- Google — hosts the Android waitlist form and the list of people who signed up (see Section 1).
- TelemetryDeck — receives the pseudonymous, aggregated usage data described in Section 1. It does not receive your photos, and it has no means of identifying you. TelemetryDeck acts as our service provider and is not permitted to use that data for its own purposes.
4. Your Photos
Your photos never leave your device. We do not review them, we do not use them to train machine learning or AI models, and we do not share them with anyone — we have no means to do so, because we never receive them.
There is one exception, it takes place entirely on your own device, and you decide it: if you turn on Automatic backup in Settings (it is off by default), the App copies each roll to your device's photo library as soon as it is developed. Those copies are stored outside the App and they are yours — they remain there even if you uninstall WorthWait.
5. Data Retention
There is no account, and no personal information about you is stored on our servers. Your photos remain on your device for as long as the App is installed, and are removed with the App if you delete it — except for any copies saved to your photo library through Automatic backup, which remain (see Section 4). The only information we process is the analytics data described in Section 1. That data is pseudonymous: it identifies a device over time, never a named individual, and there is no account of yours to delete because none exists.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Apart from the Android waitlist described in Section 1, we do not collect personal information tied to you, so there is no profile of you in our systems to access, correct, or delete. If you have any question about what data we process, or how, contact us at hello@worthwaitcamera.com.
7. Children's Privacy
WorthWait Camera is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@worthwaitcamera.com and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Notice
If we make a material change to this Notice, we will let you know within the App and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
